These Terms of Service govern the use of the Palya platform. By using our service, you accept these terms.
By creating an account or using Palya, you declare that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms.
If you do not accept these terms, you must not use our services.
- Platform: The Palya website and all its associated services
- User: Any person using the platform (player, organizer, administrator)
- Club: Padel venue registered on the platform (courts, bookings, tournaments and memberships)
- Tournament: Padel competition organized via the platform
- Registration: Request to participate in a tournament
- Booking: Court slot reserved by a user with a club via the platform
Palya is a padel platform. The services offered include club discovery, court booking, matchmaking and ladders, tournament registration and organization, as well as performance tracking. This list is not exhaustive and features may evolve.
Palya is a technical intermediary. The platform connects players and padel clubs and provides tools (court booking, tournaments, matches, ladders, skill level). Palya operates no club and does not provide the sporting services themselves.
The services (court rental, tournament organization, coaching, memberships) are provided directly by the clubs, under their sole responsibility. Palya is not a party to the contract entered into between a player and a club and cannot be held liable for the quality, availability, safety or cancellation of those services.
Use of Palya by players is free of charge and gives rise to no financial consideration for Palya. These Terms govern that use; they create no commercial relationship between you and Palya.
When you book a court via Palya:
- The court rental contract is entered into directly between you and the club; Palya merely forwards your booking request.
- Each club sets its own conditions (opening hours, rates, cancellation and refund rules).
- You undertake to honor the slots you book. A no-show or a late cancellation may lead to consequences set by the club; repeated misuse may result in a restriction of your access to booking.
Using the platform requires creating an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information
- Protect the confidentiality of your password
- Not share your account with third parties
- Immediately notify any unauthorized use of your account
- If you are a minor, use the platform under the responsibility and with the authorization of a parent or legal guardian
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for illegal or fraudulent purposes
- Post offensive, defamatory or inappropriate content
- Impersonate another person
- Attempt to circumvent security measures
- Use automated scripts without authorization
- Disrupt the proper functioning of the platform
Palya offers matchmaking, ladders and tournaments. By taking part:
- You commit to fair play and to respecting other players, referees and organizers.
- Scores are submitted and confirmed by participants. In the event of a dispute, absence or inactivity, forfeit and penalty rules set by the platform or the organizer may apply.
- Your skill level (Palya Level) and rankings are computed automatically for indicative purposes: they are no guarantee and may change.
- You take part in sporting activities at your own risk. Palya is not responsible for bodily or material damage occurring during play.
Platform ownership
All intellectual property rights to the Palya platform (code, design, trademarks, logos) belong to Dorian Rodot. Any unauthorized use is prohibited.
User content
You retain your rights to the content you post (personal information, results). You are responsible for the accuracy of this content.
License granted
By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use, display and process this content within our services.
Service availability
We strive to ensure continuous platform availability, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Interruptions may occur for maintenance or technical reasons.
Limitation of liability
The platform is provided "as is" and is free for players. To the extent permitted by Mauritian law, Palya cannot be held liable for indirect damages, data loss or harm resulting from use of the platform, nor for the services provided by clubs. Our liability, if any, is limited to the amounts actually received by Palya from you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against any claims resulting from your use of the platform or your violation of these Terms.
Force majeure
We cannot be held responsible for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our control (natural disasters, outages, etc.).
For paid tournaments:
- Fees are set by club organizers
- Payments are managed between players and organizers
- Palya facilitates management but is not responsible for financial transactions
- Court bookings are paid directly to the club: Palya does not handle any financial transaction related to bookings
By the user
You can delete your account at any time from your settings.
By Palya
We may suspend or delete your account in case of Terms violation, prolonged inactivity, or for security reasons.
Effects of termination
After deletion, your personal data will be erased in accordance with our privacy policy. Public tournament results may be retained for sports history.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any modification will be notified by email and/or via the platform.
Continued use of the service after modification constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These Terms are governed by Mauritian law.
Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Mauritian courts.
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, the other provisions remain fully in force.
