The questions we get about price.
What is free?
For your players, everything that gets them playing: matchmaking, Palya Level, rankings, quick score and open matches on your club's page, at every club. For you, the Free plan: your page and the “Verified club” badge, messages from your players, visibility statistics, announcing your tournaments, your courts and access for your team. You pay the day Palya runs your tournaments and ladders (Animation), then your bookings (Club).
Why bill per court rather than a flat fee?
Because it is the only honest measure of what you use. A two-court club should not pay like a ten-court one, and a ten-court club should not subsidise a flat fee designed for small ones. That holds for animation as much as for bookings: a bigger club has more players to keep playing.
Does the price change if my club grows?
Yes, by the price of the court you open: the cheapest of them all, since every court costs less than the one before. Nothing is recalculated on the others and there is no threshold to cross. We adjust from the day it goes live.
Do you take a commission on bookings?
Never. It is a subscription, full stop. A commission feels painless at first and becomes the largest line as the club fills up. Precisely the opposite of what we want to encourage.
Are there any setup fees?
Not on the subscription. Setting up your courts and prices and importing your members are included, and you pay your first month once the club is running, not before. Only the branded app, which stays optional, has a setup fee.
Who collects my players' money?
You do. Payment for a booking goes straight into the club account, via Stripe or MIPS depending on your country. Palya never holds the funds and takes no commission. Your memberships and dues carry on being paid as they are today: Palya records them, it does not collect them.
Can I move from Animation to Club later?
Yes, whenever you decide, and without starting over: your club, members and history are already there. The new rate applies from the following month. The other way round too, if bookings turn out not to be for you.
If I stop, what happens to my data?
It is yours, and exportable at any time in standard formats: courts, members, subscriptions, bookings, tournaments. No exit penalty, no minimum term.
How long before my club is up and running?
One to two weeks from decision to opening it to your members: scoping, setting up your courts and prices, importing your member list, a trial with a few players, then launch. You pay your first month once the club is running, not before.
